The Spot Community Services began in 1996 as an initiative of Southside Community Church. Initially The Spot was a youth centre based in an empty warehouse and a volunteer staff of 5 people.
In 2003 The Spot offers its community various children’s programs through its Spot 4 Kidz arm, a growing number of youth programs via the Youth Services arm and is currently working on developing a non-traditional school via the Spot ed program.
The Spot is governed by a board of directors that is comprised of local councillors, clergy, business people and community members. Our goal is to serve our community by providing programs that scratch an itch.
Take a tour of the web site for more information about who we are and what we do.
